PROJECT FUNDING & TAX SUPPORT

Grants and Subsidies

Start with BC Hydro’s BESS incentive for commercial battery storage, then review any applicable federal tax credits.

BESS Incentive

Energy Storage Incentive (ESI)

For JC Smart Power commercial storage projects, the first funding program we assess is BC Hydro’s Energy Storage Incentive (ESI). Support depends on customer and project eligibility, BC Hydro’s review and the program agreement.

Check eligibility before purchasing or installing equipment. Batteries already purchased or installed are not eligible for this offer.

BC Hydro incentives and CRA tax credits follow different rules. Eligibility and any combination of assistance must be assessed for each project.

Before your next discussion

  1. Share your site location and business type.
  2. Identify the equipment that matters during an outage.
  3. Discuss assessment scope before providing detailed records.

General information, not a project quote or a guarantee of funding or savings. Eligibility, approvals and system design determine what is possible.
